Griddle & Shake Nottingham – Review

griddle and shake review

Just a quick announcement first, I passed my final examinations and am now a qualified and registered veterinary nurse.  It’s been a long time coming and I can’t believe I’m finally finished!

This post is going to be a review of Griddle &  Shake in Nottingham.  I was invited to come visit the restaurant and sample the menu and boy was I in for a treat!

I’d heard excellent reviews on the restaurant already so I jumped at the opportunity and my mum and I went along a few weeks ago.

We were greeted by friendly staff members who asked us to pick a table, naturally, we picked the biggest!

The place was neat, tidy, and spotless – personally, this is a massive factor for both me and my husband.

The menu was highly customisable and they couldn’t have done more to explain the process and adapt my food to my specific dietary needs.

I opted to have a chicken burger (without the bun) with salad, avocado (YUM), and sweet potato fries.

The food was delivered promptly, cooked to perfection, and was delicious!  The chicken was a fresh chicken breast, the avocado was PERFECT – which is a massive positive for me because I know how wrong avocado can go!

After the food, I opted for a milkshake.  I asked them what they’d recommend and they recommended me the smackeroos and strawberry milkshake (I had the dairy free version) and it was honestly the BEST milkshake I’ve ever had, being dairy free, I usually have to compromise quality for something that meets my dietary requirements.

The decoration of the restaurant is themed outdoorsy and even has a grassy area.  My favourite bit was the giant cow in the window!

After having an excellent meal, I was already going to write a raving review, however, I just wanted to mention something else that happened that day.  A family came into the restaurant with a young baby and were seated behind us.  They didn’t have any high chairs available for them which they were fine with.  However, one of the staff members (I didn’t catch his name!) went out, purchased a high chair, and assembled in a matter of minutes.  I was extremely impressed with the astonishing act of kindness and really made me feel passionate about writing something about this occasion.

I’d like to thank all the staff members at Griddle & Shake for excellent food and great company.

Hope you enjoyed this post and I promise I won’t leave it as long next time! πŸ™‚

Love
