I’m BACK! I’ve taken a short break from this blog to have a bit of breathing space to myself, but I’m feeling on top of the world now and I’m planning on setting a proper schedule for blogging, I plan on blogging every Saturday and Tuesday and will be making sure that I’ve got lots of stuff lined up for you in the future 🙂
I’ve not been wearing as much makeup recently as I’ve been trying to give my skin a bit of a break. I’ve been off work this week with a bad back so I’ve not been able to sit upright at my desk so I have a selection of looks from the last couple of weeks for you.
One exciting new product that i’m REALLY excited about doing a review for you for is the Anastasia Beverly Hill Dipbrow (in the shade auburn) along with the number 7 brush, (another in the series of cult beauty products) which I will be writing tomorrow.
Below is a selection of looks that I’ve done the past few weeks 😀
And now for the obligatory cat pictures! (Thank you to my darling husband for these photos!)
Todays post is a bit of a MOTD and a bit of a review. I’ve recently gotten the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Craft (which is just amazing!) and rediscovered an old eyeliner that I forgot I had brought a while ago now. This means i’ll be doing a mini review on the new products in todays MOTD.
This look was for a meal out with the family to celebrate my Grandads birthday 🙂
As I did such a bold lip I decided to pair it with a simple eye look (well simple for me) and this was the perfect chance to play with my new gel liner which is Artliner by Lancome. I had the miniture pot of this a while ago from my momma and must have brought a full sized one before moving into my flat, so as I was doing a bit of clearing through my cupboards this weekend I found a full sized, brand new sealed one! It comes in a pit and needs to be applied with an angled eyeliner brush. The formulation is very creamy and a lot nicer to use compared to some other ones I have used (for example the maybelline gel liner).

My hair was styled with the NuMe reverse curling wand, set for 10minutes then brushed out to create a smoother and more natural wave (then hairsprayed within an inch of its life!).
Hope you are all having a lovely weeked, I sure am as i’ve got a week off starting now. 🙂
SO today I got a parcel with a very exciting lipstick in which i’ve wanted for weeks. It’s the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Craft.
Starting with the name, I LOVE the name (especially because the movie the craft is just amazing!), the packaging is sleek and beautiful like all the ABH products and it feels nice to hold in your hand unlike some of the cheaper brands.
The applicator is a large doe foot, this makes it a little hard to get a good straight lined lip without the use of a lip brush (which I didn’t have when I got my parcel) but it applies the product nicely and not too thickly.
The swatch is very pigmented (this is just one swipe) but I did find that (even after 10 minutes of the product being on my hand) it was matte but rubbing my finger slightly across it made the swatch smudge like crazy.
On the lips swatch, sorry for the lack of face, I wasn’t wearing any makeup as i’d just got out of the operating theatre at work (hence my pink scrubs) and didn’t feel too attractive with my swollen face.
Sorry for being MIA this week, next week i’m off work so I will have lots of time to blog! 🙂
My life at the moment – anadin for my wisdom teeth and my textbooks as revision for my exams in 5 weeks.
