Autumn Essentials // 2016

Hi Guys!

Todays post is going to be my autumn essentials this year, please let me know what you think of them in the comments, do we share are favourite products?

The first product is the freedom brow pomade, I’ve been using both the shades auburn and caramel brown to create a faded brow and have been loving it, even better is its waterproof and really withstands the rain (which in England is a big part of Autumn!)

Next is the Lancôme ‘Hydra Zen Neurocalm’ anti stress moisturising cream, I find that although I have oily skin the colder weather and fluctuating temperatures really dry out some places on my face and neck making them sensitive.  I slather my face in this cream every evening and wake up feeling very hydrated.

Next is this handy pot of Vaseline, it’s got a really nice scent to it which isn’t overpowering and fits right in the pocket.  I don’t need to explain Vaseline to you because it’s such a basic product 🙂

Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrub

Next is another lip item, Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrub by LUSH is great for making sure your lips stay in tip-top condition through all the cold wind and rain.  It tastes GREAT and does a great job.

Snow Fairy body conditioner

Another LUSH product I’ve been LOVING this month (thanks to my sister getting me loads of goodies for my birthday) is the Snow Fairy body conditioner.  This is used last thing in the shower just before getting out and it leaves an oily film on the skin which is quickly absorbed leaving my skin feeling hydrated and moisturised – and that’s before talking about the scent. I love snow fairy!!

Image result for hand food

The Soap and Glory hand food has been my go to hand cream for the past few years when the colder seasons roll around.  It smells lovely and absorbs quickly into the skin which is perfect in a job like mine!

That’s it for my autumn essentials, there seems to be a trend going that all my products (bar the eyebrow product) aim to moisturise me! Do we share any essential products?

June Favorites // Makeup, Hair Products and More!

Hi Guys!

I can’t believe it’s this time already, time for my favorites of the month! This means that I’ve been running my blog for a month already, time flies when you’re having fun!

So this month I have mainly beauty products but there are a few bits of both hair products and others so lets start with the makeup! ❤

Firstly there is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Craft, this is the most beautiful coloured lip product that i’ve ever used, so unique! The formulation is so creamy to put on and the larger doe foot applicator makes the application process really easy.  I don’t need to rave any more about this product because I just think it’s wonderful!

Secondly is the Smashbox Photofinish Primer Water, this is another amazing product that i’ve recently done a review on, this is such a refreshing products as it doesn’t leave any film on the skin like any other products that claim to set the product on the skin.  I am really enjoying using the product and find that it really is worthy of its cult beauty item claim!

Next is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone, this highlight is LIFE, talk about highlight on fleeeeek.  This is going to be my next product in the Cult Beauty Product reviews but this is such an amazing highlight, I would recommend this shade to any skintones!

Next is a brush set that I got on eBay at the begining of the month, I believe these brushes were under £2 including delivery.  They did take a while to come as they came from China but they were worth the wait for sure, they are supposed to be a dupe for sigma brushes which are really popular amongst beauty bloggers!  I’m really enjoying using these brushes as they blend the products on the lid wonderfully!

The next product is the Ojon Rare Blend Tamer, this is a hair “mascara” in the sense that it is applied with a mascara wand, this a repurchase of mine as I brought it last year for use at my wedding.  It is gently applied to the roots of the hair where there is ‘flyaway’ hairs and smoothed down, it really helps with my frizz as I have naturally curly hair!

That’s it all done with my beauty favorites of the month, now onto my non beauty related products.

I brought these cat vans yesterday and I am IN LOVE (naturally as i’m cat obsessed!) I have wanted these shoes ever since they came out and when I saw that they were half price at Office, I had to buy them without even trying them on!

Next is this floral bag that my Dad brought me, It’s a really perfect size for carrying my work stuff and college books in with extra room for putting my lunch in! I think this is going to be my staple bag for work this summer! 😀
Finally is my veterinary anatomy and physiology text book, yes I know I’m a nerd but I’m really enjoying going through my book for revision every spare moment that I’m getting (when i’m not writing my blog 😉 )  I find that I revise best going through my text book in a local order highlighting key points and quizzing myself as I go along!  I’m sitting my exam on the 16th July (I’m so nervous!!!) so hopefully all my revision will pay off!

Okay so that concludes my favorites for the month, I hope you enjoyed this post!  I’d love to know what your favorites are from this month and/or if you own any of these items yourself!

April and May Favorites

Hi Guys!

So May is almost over so I thought i’d do a run down of my current favorites for the months of April and May, they include beauty products and some other bits and pieces.  I’ll start with the non beauty products as there are considerably less of them.

Monster DNA headphones

– These are my new headphones, I love watching netflix and YouTube on my iPad and listening to audiobooks (mainly Harry Potter) on my phone whilst falling asleep at night.  These headphones are so comfortable, stylish and the sounds quality is just beyond anything i’ve ever tried.

Don’t sweat the small stuff and it’s all just small stuff by Dr Richard Carlson

– This book has really helped me and my mental health at the moment, it’s made me just step back and reconcider things that i’m doing and the action that they may have.

Now onto the beauty/makeup products, there are conciderably more of these than the others as i’m slightly addicted to makeup.

Garnier Micellar Clensing Water

– This badboy really gets all my makeup off SO well, I apply it onto a cotton pad and swoosh it around my face and it all comes off.  I get this product in the sensitive version as I find it nicer to use on my eyes to get my eye makeup off but both are really amazing.  My bottle is almost gone as i’ve been using it for almost 2 months now but it is something that i’m going to be repurchasing 100%!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

– Now I know i’m late to the party with this foundation (even my mother was using it before me!) but this really is the bees knees! Okay, so I really find it hard to find a foundation which is pale enough for me as I’m pale and ginger, but I got this in the shade Shell which I believe is the second lightest shade.  It also includes SPF 10 which is good for me as I burn as soon as I look at the sun.

Mac Velvet Teddy and Twig

– These have been my go to colours this month as I’ve been into a stronger eye look.  Velvet Teddy is a very popular colour but I find it quite drying to the lips as it is a matte shade, Twig however is sooo underrated in my opinions as I think it is the most beautiful shade I own, its a satin shade so it isn’t as drying and I find it lasts a long time on the lips.

Red Cherry Lashes in #43

– These are the most amazing lashes in the world, I’ve tried so many different brands of eyelashes including mac and ardel lashes but these ones really top them all.  They’re 100% human hair lashes with a clear band, they’re so light and soft that I find that I don’t even realise i’m wearing them!  Red Cherry lashes are usually cheapest off eBay and I usually get 3 pairs for under £10.  With my lashes I reuse them atleast 4 or 5 times with peeling the glue off (I use duo lash adhesive in black)

Wren Makeup bag

Makeup bag

– Okay so I found this makeup bag in TK Maxx a few weeks ago and I ADORE it! (naturally as it has a cat on it) It’s a lovely light bluey green colour with a cat and mouse on, each side has a different design and it has a lovely gold zipper with a heart on it.  This is definetly going to be living in my handbag all summer!
